The Pulley: Rich and Weary by God’s Design

You can also watch the video on Rumble here.

I am excited to share a poem of a different kind with you, in this second video in our Poetry and Praise series. This video focuses on “The Pulley” by George Herbert.

You can find the full poem on the Poetry Foundation’s website here: https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poems/44370/the-pulley.

Again, the goal of this series is to help you discover a new way to find God in the midst of the modern world and to give you a new spring of material for meditation and prayer. Through the beauty of these verses, we can invite God to raise our minds and hearts to Him in a new way and stay connected to the One who made us.

Next week, we’ll be reading and reflecting on one of John Donne’s shorter poems. I will share which one on Instagram, once I decide!

May God bless you!
